The Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province – is conducting inspections of its drainage system.
Liu Li, a Party committee member of the Taizhou Port EDZ Management Office and Party secretary of Xuzhuang subdistrict, led a team to inspect the Zhonggou area during dry weather.
The focus was on improving drainage, river management and long-term maintenance in areas such as Taiping Zhonggou and Guangou Zhonggou.
Liu emphasized the critical role of the work, noting that it reflected the effectiveness of water pollution control efforts and affected the well-being of residents.
He stressed the need for accelerated pipeline repairs, regular inspections and improved water management. He also called for frequent patrols, prompt problem-solving and thorough cleaning of waterways to maintain clear water and attractive riverbanks.
