The Xuzhang subdistrict in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province – has just launched a fun and exciting summer program for children.
Since July, various activities have been organized to enrich children's summer vacation and promote their overall development.
At the Qiaoyang community in the subdistrict, children enjoyed a DIY Bingfen ice jelly event, learning to make the traditional dessert while experiencing the joys of cooking and sharing.
Bingfen is a traditional Chinese dessert found mainly in Southwest China, especially in provinces such as Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan.
It's characterized by its smooth, transparent, jelly-like texture and is especially popular as a refreshing treat during the hot summer months.
Elsewhere, the Caoguanying community hosted a parent-child fan-making workshop that introduced the cultural significance of Chinese fans and helped participants create their own special designs.

These activities not only provided entertainment but also fostered creativity, cultural awareness and practical skills among the young participants.
Through these diverse experiences, Taizhou Port EDZ aims to ensure a meaningful and enjoyable summer break for its youth, combining fun with educational value.
