In the scorching heat of summer, the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – is currently a hive of activity.
Construction vehicles are to be seen everywhere shuttling back and forth at a frenetic pace as its workers toil diligently, creating a bustling scene of development and progress.
At the forefront of the summer construction boom is Jiangsu Jinzhu New Materials Technology Co Ltd. The company's new impregnation and coating production lines in its production plant are now fully equipped, with preparations underway for an August launch.
Once operational, the plant will produce 50 million meters of high-performance transmission belts annually, breaking foreign monopolies in fabric structure and eco-friendly impregnation techniques. The project is expected to generate an annual output value of 400 million yuan ($55.07 million).
Another key project is the Taizhou Smart Supply Chain Industrial Park. With a total investment of $100 million, the facility will cater to the logistics needs of the biopharmaceuticals and automotive industries. Currently, at 50 percent completion, the project is on track for a full operational launch in April 2025.

The Taizhou Port EDZ is widely said to have seen impressive progress in the first half of the year, with three new projects starting construction and two now completed. Four new projects with investments topping 500 million yuan have also been signed up.
