The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of intelligent manufacturing factories for 2024 on June 24.
An intelligent manufacturing facility operated by Jingcheng Gongke Auto Parts (Taizhou) Co Ltd – located in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – was included.
Established in 2019 with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($206.42 million), Jingcheng Gongke specializes in producing 250,000 sets of car body stamping parts and automobile chassis annually.
The factory employs PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems for data collection and control.
It also uses an LMS – or a Labor Management System – for warehouse management and has established a production transmission system. This setup enables fully automated production processes, product quality traceability and production process control.

Moving forwards, plans are for the Taizhou Port EDZ plans to strengthen its policy guidance, enhance leadership benchmarks and expand the development of intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories.
These efforts aim to transform and upgrade the zone's manufacturing industry towards high-end, intelligent and green production, driving high-quality development with new productive forces.
