Nanjing University of Science and Technology Taizhou College – also known as the Taizhou Institute of Sci. & Tech., NJUST. – is bolstering its links with local business in Taizhou city.
It launched a special initiative on June 21 to expand collaboration with companies based in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
Sun Xiaojun, deputy district mayor of Taizhou's Gaogang district – where the EDZ is situated – and Liu Weiyi, Party secretary of the Taizhou Institute of Sci. & Tech., were among dignitaries attending the event.
Sun emphasized the zone's potential for innovation and called for comprehensive cooperation in technology development, the commercialization of achievements and talent training.
The institute's Liu Weiyi highlighted its commitment to complementary development and resource sharing with the local area.
The institute plans to conduct cooperation on many levels in various fields – including talent cultivation, scientific research and continuing education.

Moving forwards, plans are for the partners to establish regular communications channels to explore new cooperation models and accelerate the development of high-quality productivity in the region.
