Medical equipment manufacturer Jiangsu Baining Yingchuang Medical Technology Co Ltd – based in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone, in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently got the green light to market its innovative infrared fluorescence imaging device.

The device, which aids doctors in quickly identifying parathyroid glands during thyroid surgery, is the second innovative medical device from Taizhou to be approved this year.
The company says that by enhancing the accuracy of parathyroid identification, it reduces surgical risks and improves success rates.
Jiangsu Baineng is a national high-tech company specializing in the research and development, production and sales of high-end medical devices.
The company holds nearly 60 domestic and international patents, with a product range that includes surgical instruments, intraoperative neuro-monitoring devices and disposable biopsy needles.
The success of Jiangsu Baining is said to reflect the supportive environment fostered by the Taizhou Port EDZ, which has conducted in-depth research and provided policy guidance to stimulate innovation.
The zone's efforts are understood to be significantly contributing to the growth of high-tech enterprises and the conversion of scientific and technological achievements into market-ready products.
