Since the start of this year, Xuzhuang sub-district in Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, has been exploring new models to promote the development of a collective economy at the village level.
The sub-district has released eight measures and established special teams to guide the development of a collective economy.
Meanwhile, any resources in the sub-district that are being used inefficiently or squandered and left idle, are being put to better use.
The sub-district has worked to fix issues such as the non-standard rental management of operational assets and incomplete rent collection.
By integrating various types of agricultural support and related benefits, the sub-district has increased the support for economically weak villages and striven to drive more social assets to contribute to villages' collective economy.
To capitalize more on its attractive countryside, the sub-district is cooperating with professional groups to promote rural tourism, developing projects such as study tours and camping.
