A top municipal official made a visit on Oct 10 to manufacturer Jiangsu Haiyang Nylon New Material Co Ltd – based in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – to learn about the company's progress with its intelligent workshops and expansion projects.
Ye Donghua, Taizhou's vice-mayor, conducted on-site inspections of the expansion of the group's nylon impregnation workshop and the construction of intelligent warehouse projects – as well as its small-scale production and research and development projects for polymerization.

Moreover, Ye listened to a report from the company chief on the progress of the proposed high-performance cord fabric construction plant, with a planned annual output of 80,000 metric tons.
With a planned investment of 1.1 billion yuan ($151.19 million), the aim is to build four high-performance cord fabric production lines, relying on technologies such as the 5G network and MES system for its digital transformation.
On completion, it is expected to achieve the first full-process intelligent output in its field – and is projected to achieve total sales of 1.68 billion yuan annually.
Focusing on the goal of fully starting the cord fabric production plant before the end of the year, Ye called on municipal government departments to strengthen their collaborative links to accelerate the construction pace of the project.
