The Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – and the Taizhou Institute of Product Quality Supervision and Inspection are co-launching an automotive mechanical and electrical parts product quality inspection center.
That's after they took part in a signing ceremony for the project on Sept 13.
The center will be the first provincial-level quality inspection center for auto electromechanical component products in Jiangsu province. It will promote the development of automotive parts and precision manufacturing industry clusters.
Plans are for the facility to build a key laboratory for automotive electromechanical components testing that integrates testing, scientific research, information, services and training.
It will provide inspections and testing services – including on component materials, electromagnetic compatibility, non-destructive testing, failure analysis, electrical performance, as well as technical research and consulting services.
The Taizhou Port EDZ is the main area for the development of the city's auto industry and the zone will explore the testing market, aiming to become a national-level test center, said zone official Wang Yingjun.
The signing ceremony is said to mark a new stage in the coordinated construction of an automotive industry supply chain in the zone.
