The Taizhou bureau of science and technology – along with the industrial technology research institute in the city in East China's Jiangsu province – is soliciting the technical demands of its local businesses.
That's to form a list of common key technologies that align with industrial development.
Enterprises are being encouraged to give examples of urgent technical difficulties and pain points that need to be addressed – as well as core technical issues that cannot be solved by the company alone – to help fulfill the common needs of industry.
The move is being followed up by a mechanism – in the form of an open competition – to select the best candidates. This was initiated in the wake of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Under the initiative, to solve common technical problems, the municipal government will collect the needs of companies. It will then announce its key technology projects and encourage first-class people to join the projects. What's more, a batch of projects will be supported with funds.
Enterprises in need should fill in a form and submit it to the local science and technology department. The entries will then be sent to the Taizhou bureau of science and technology before July 30.
