The Taizhou High Tech Shipbuilding Intelligent Technology Innovation and Development Conference will take place in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on April 26.
Highlighting innovative, green, and integrated paths, the conference aims to promote the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industrial cluster.
Taizhou has a strong shipbuilding industry, which boasts a solid foundation and attracts many complementary businesses. As a national grade ship export base and the largest private shipbuilding base in China, its shipbuilding completion amount accounts for 10 percent of the global total, 25 percent of the national total, and half of the provincial total.
Last year, the shipbuilding industry in Taizhou was selected as a national advanced manufacturing industry cluster for marine equipment and high-tech ships.
In January and February, the city's shipbuilding industry shows a steady growth, with the shipbuilding completion amount accounting for 49.9 and 28.3 percent of the provincial and national total, respectively.
