High-tech transformers and sensors manufacturer Jiangsu Cosine Electric Co Ltd – located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province – is relying on technological and management innovation to enhance core competitiveness.
Based in the Taixing High-tech Zone, the company is a national-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" firm that produces cutting-edge products.
A little giant refers to an elite class of small and medium-sized enterprises that specialize in niche markets, boast advanced technologies and show great potential.
Tech people in the company have recently been testing a newly developed product – a deep fusion pole.
Standard poles used in traditional vacuum circuit breakers don't have an intelligent information collection function and corresponding voltage transformers and current transformers need to be configured outside the switch.
Jiangsu Cosine Electric Co's deep fusion pole is said to have solved these problems.
The company has worked with research institutes and universities to develop high-tech products for high-end market demand, filling market gaps and replacing imports.
To date, it has developed multiple products, including DC power supply transformers for flexible DC transmissions and high-frequency transformers for DC distribution and new energy matching.
"We will continue to increase our investment in sectors for high-speed rail and DC transmissions and distribution, introduce high-level talent and cooperate with top domestic universities and research institutes, as well as develop updated products," said Yang Feng, deputy general manager of the company.
