A team of experts from the Institute of Mechanics, at the Chinese Academy of Sciences recently visited the Taixing High-tech Zone – situated in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – to hold talks on jointly constructing a local industrial research institute.
They visited the Taixing Cultural Expo Center, as well as the Fengqi Town Living Room – a public leisure and recreation facility in Taixing's Fengqi town – and the Taixing High-tech Zone Headquarters Economic Industrial Park. The aim was to learn all about Taixing's historical development and the zone's featured industries.
During a symposium, the experts gave a presentation on the current technical research direction and innovation achievements of the State Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics, as well as the layout planning for the future local industrial research institute.
Xu Hui, director of the zone's management committee, called on both parties to take the opportunity to deeply explore the construction models and details of the industry research institute – to reach a deep, wide-ranging and substantive level of cooperation as soon as possible.
