The Taixing High-tech Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is on the move.
It's aiming to specifically attract leading projects in line with the zone's industrial layout and development direction, to accelerate the establishment of featured industry clusters.
The zone has planned out six industrial areas – energy conservation and environmental protection, photovoltaic new energy, semiconductors equipment, automotive parts, the headquarters economy, as well as inspections and testing.
It wants to sign up 36 projects, break ground on 18 projects and complete 14 projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.91 million) each this year – including breaking ground on one project worth over 2 billion yuan.

As an "innovation special zone" that Taixing is striving to build, the Taixing High-tech Zone will respond with the construction of an advanced sci-tech innovation system in the city. What's more, it will continue to improve the quality and efficiency of innovation platforms and operations.
Focused on developing new productive drivers, plans are for the zone to concentrate on the integrated circuits equipment and automotive parts sectors, as well as expand the development path of modern service industries.
A leapfrog action plan for science and technology innovation will also be implemented, to amplify the effects of the zone's institutes and research centers.
