Forklift manufacturers in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – are restructuring for growth.
They're adjusting their product structure – as well as innovating the development and applications of electric, pneumatic and green environmental protection technologies – to promote the high-quality development of the industry.
One of them is Zhongyan, a forklift manufacturer in the Taixing High-tech Zone, which developed a three-way stacking forklift this year.
Due to its diminutive size and precise electronic steering system, it's perfect for handling and stacking work within small warehouse premises and as a result, its annual sales are expected to reach 600 units in the current year.

The design is targeting the problem of narrow warehouses at some companies. The new type of forklift requires only a width of 1.8 meters to work in, saving space in the warehouses, said sales manager Yang Guoqing.
As a traditional industry in Taixing, the forklift sector has reached critical mass in terms of its scale after years of development.
In recent years, Taixing's forklift industry association has advised its members to prioritize their transformation and upgrading and guided them to engage in technical cooperation with research institutes to solve technical problems.
