The Taixing Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently ranked third in a list of national high-quality development chemical industrial parks for 2024.
What's more, it has been ranked eighth in high quality development among China's provincial-level development zones.
Founded in 1991, the Taixing EDZ was one of the first 13 provincial-level development zones in Jiangsu province and it was also one of the earliest professional fine chemical industrial parks in China.
It boasts a national first-class open port, Taixing Port, which can accommodate a maximum of 150,000 metric tons of ships 24/7. In fact, the zone is regarded as being the most well-equipped and fully functional chemical products import and export base in the country.
In recent years, it has pursued high-end, refined, circular, eco-friendly and international development, highlighting the themes of innovation transformation, green development and capacity upgrades.
It has established industrial supply chain clusters for chlor alkali, olefins, pharmaceuticals and daily chemical products, with a chemical industry correlation rate of 66 percent.
