Taixing city held a symposium on regional collaboration and industrial innovation development of new chemical materials, pharmaceuticals and daily chemical products in Suzhou city, both located in East China's Jiangsu province, on Sept 3.
The Taixing Economic Development Zone (Suzhou) Innovation Center and a chemical new materials pilot common transformation platform were unveiled during the event, marking a new chapter in industry-university-research cooperation.
Taixing Mayor Liu Wenrong said that by taking the unveiling as a new beginning, Taixing would fully leverage the advantageous resources of Suzhou.
Moreover, it would strengthen cooperation and exchanges in technology research and development, market development, talent cultivation and other aspects, in a bid to achieve resource sharing.
The new innovation center is set to become a technology innovation platform that integrates the functions of technology research and development, project incubations, talent recruitment and tech investment promotion.
It will aim to get innovative and entrepreneurial talent projects and leading enterprises in the Taixing EDZ to settle there for their project incubations, promoting the industrialization of research and development achievements for the Taixing EDZ.
The pilot common transformation platform was established to further foster the aggregation of innovative resources, facilitate the efficient transformation of high-quality projects and advance the upgrading of the local industrial system.
