Film-forming additives are seen as being essential raw materials in coating production.
The continuous development of the coating market calls for increasing demand for water-based paint additives and environmentally friendly high-boiling point solvents.
In 2022, the company invested 1.06 billion yuan ($147.60 million) to build a production facility for water-based coating additives and eco-friendly high-boiling point solvents.
The company occupies a market share of 29 percent in the domestic alcohol ester film-forming aids market and has a global market share of an estimated 17 percent in the alcohol ester film-forming aids market, said Xu Zian, marketing director of the company.
In the first six months of this year, the company's export value hit $27.46 million, a year-on-year increase of 25 percent.
