A chemicals safety skills training base, located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province, was recently honored as one of 10 demonstration chemicals safety skills training bases.
This marked the elevation of the facility's training and education program to national recognition.
Its operations cover training in chemicals equipment and automation controls, hazardous processes, chemical units, special operations, personal protection and medical first aid, emergency response training facilities, accident warning education, safety experience and public science popularization.
Since it started, it's conducted more than 210 sessions of various skills training – including special operations, contractor management, emergency drills and skills competitions – annually training more than 20,000 people.
Plans are for the center to continue to deepen its multi-party cooperation and improve training quality, striving to become a top national first-class chemicals safety skills training base.
What's more, it will also continue to introduce new technologies and equipment, closely follow the needs of industry and nurture more high skilled talented people for the EDZ.
