An unveiling ceremony for a landmark public security service window in the Taixing Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – took place on July 21.
It marked the official launch of the first public security service window in the city that provides "one-stop" reviews and approvals procedures for business enterprises and individuals in the EDZ.
Founded in 1991, the zone is now home to 100 companies from over 20 countries and regions after over 30 years of development, said Tian Youjun, deputy director of the zone's management committee.
After over three months of research, planning and development, the Taixing public security bureau acted.
It merged administrative licensing matters related to traffic management, public security, entries and exits, among other things – which are time-consuming for enterprises and individuals in the EDZ – into the new public security service window.
The number of administrative approval matters has increased to 11 categories and 36 items and all reviews and approvals can be processed through the window.
To ensure its smooth operation, the bureau has deployed more than 20 police officers on a rotating basis, to further serve local economic development and optimize the business environment.
