The Taixing Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province – recently has been advancing construction of a pilot experiment incubation industrial park.
It's known as one of the first pilot projects for the erection of chemicals pilot-scale experiment bases in the province.
Previously, due to the lack of supporting pilot-scale experiment industrial parks, some innovation and entrepreneurship projects were difficult to implement.
What's more, the innovation transformation of resident enterprises also faced the dilemma of unverifiable innovation achievements and an inability to ramp up technological achievements, said Wang Changyao, head of the zone's research institute of chemicals and industry.
In 2022, the zone began construction of the pilot experiment incubation industrial park which will cost a total of 500 million yuan ($68.84 million).
On completion, it will be equipped with office buildings, central control rooms, warehouses and pilot-scale experiment buildings, among other things.
The main structure of the building was topped out at the end of last year and pilot projects were launched to attract applicants. Work is scheduled to be completed and the park to start operations by the end of 2024.
When finished the pilot-scale experiment incubation industrial park will promote a virtuous cycle of new products, new processes and new technologies from research and development to incubations.
This will help achieve industrialization around the industrial supply chain, innovation chain, talent chain, capital chain and service chain.
