The quality control station of the Taixing bureau of market regulation – located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province – is acting to help local companies handle their demands.
Recently, the bureau – in conjunction with the Taixing Economic Development Zone and the Taizhou Institute of Product Quality Supervision and Inspection – conducted a training session on improvement to quality and testing for Taixing chemical manufacturers.
The training focused on the core elements of gas and liquid phase detection. It analyzed the current problems and shortcomings and jointly explored ways to improve detection capabilities.
The training session was conducted in response to previous on-site visits to chemical manufacturers based in the Taixing EDZ, made by staff from the station.
At that time, staff heard calls from the companies for Taixing municipal departments to provide training on gas and liquid chromatograph testing for new employees, especially given the high cost of the instruments and the reagents.
The Taixing EDZ was one of the first provincial-level development zones established in Jiangsu and was also the earliest fine chemicals park nationwide. It is now home to more than 120 enterprises from 20 countries and regions.
Moving forward, plans are for the quality control station to continue to visit enterprises on-site and to assess their needs, helping them solve practical problems.
