The Taixing Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – put on an impressive performance in its industrial development in February and March.
The zone's production of chemicals increased by 7 percent year-on-year in February and March, generating invoiced sales of 18.85 billion yuan ($2.60 billion) during the period.
Elsewhere, the electromechanical sector continued its growth momentum, achieving invoiced sales of 22.35 billion yuan.
In February and March, the light industry and textiles industry maintained brisk growth, with invoiced sales hitting 4.44 billion yuan.
Not to be outdone, the productive service industry reportedly posted a very strong performance, in the wake of its integration with the manufacturing industry.
