The Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – held a meeting on April 15 to help convey the funding needs of local businesses to financial institutions.

Local enterprises should sharpen their competitiveness and help the regional economy, while the zone was required to serve as a bridge between financial institutions and enterprises, Zhou added.
Gu Tiejun, deputy secretary of the Party working committee of the Taixing EDZ, briefed the attendees on the zone's investment projects, industrial innovations, as well as its efforts to build a safe, green and modern industrial park.
He said the zone would strive to provide a communications platform for local enterprises and financial institutions – as well as build a healthy partnership between them through good services and an efficient business environment.
Presentations were also made on the day for the participating institutions and businesses to promote their services and products.
Attendees heard that the zone would also hold bridging activities regularly and enhance the high-quality growth of both financial institutions and the local economy.
Representatives from over 20 financial institutions and over 30 key Taixing enterprises attended the event.
