Binjiang town in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – has introduced new crop varieties and adopted advanced technologies to boost the development of its agricultural sector.
Known for being a strawberry-producing town, Binjiang recently introduced high-quality varieties like Hongyan, Zhangji and Fenyu strawberries to boost the lucrative sector.
Liu Chang, who works for the town's modern agricultural science and technology industrial park, said that strawberries are expected to go into markets from the end of November to early December this year. They're projected to bring in 50,000 yuan ($6,837) in income to growers per mu (1 mu=0.07 hectares).

Elsewhere in the Jinyuan Nongbo, a local agriculture technology company, a digital, modern, and green transformation has now been promoted to boost the standardization of its cherry planting.
By conducting real-time monitoring of things like light, temperature, water, fertilizers, and the air, the company is working hard to maximize its crop growth potential.
