SP Chemicals (Taixing) Co Ltd – a wholly-owned Chinese subsidiary of Singapore-based SP Chemicals Pte Ltd – received recognition for its excellence, in a recent announcement made by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
The company is located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in the city of Taixing – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
The company was included in the list of candidates for the commendation of outstanding companies and entrepreneurs in the province.
It is said to boast excellent infrastructure and transportation for chemicals products, with two liquid chemicals jetties and a general-purpose jetty situated next to its plant along the Yangtze River.

The company focuses on the production of various chemicals raw materials in the chlor-alkali chain and the olefin chain – making it the leading producer of caustic soda and vinyl chloride, or VCM, in the province.
Most notably, its VCM export volume is ranked first globally, with cumulative sales of a substantial 14.6 billion yuan ($1.99 billion) in 2022, solidifying its status as the largest foreign-invested enterprise in Taizhou city.
Beyond its business success, the company is said to practice corporate social responsibility and proactively engage in various social welfare activities.
It established a foundation in 2001 to support local students from financially challenged backgrounds with outstanding academic achievements, enabling them to complete their basic education. To date, the scholarship has benefited 4,228 students, with a total sponsorship amount of 7.42 million yuan.
