A rest area for drivers was recently established and unveiled in the Taixing Economic Development Zone of Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province.
Spanning more than 600 square meters, the rest area is equipped with amenities including an activity room, a legal aid station, a leisure and entertainment room, a restaurant, and a supermarket. It can accommodate 112 trucks at the same time.
Founded in 1991, the Taixing EDZ is one of the earliest fine chemical industrial parks in China. It is currently home to 91 chemical companies and an estimated 30,000 factory workers, and has a daily average traffic volume of 500 vehicles.
Looking ahead, the Taixing EDZ will strive to expand the service scope for truck services and continue to provide services for workers.
