The boiler steel frame part of the 2x1 million-kilowatt unit expansion project being undertaken by power utility Jiangsu Guoxin Corporation Limited in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, was recently fully hoisted and installed.
Since the project commenced last August, construction has been progressing smoothly according to the planned timeline. It is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2025, with an expected annual power generation capacity of 10 billion kilowatt hours.
With a total investment of 8.39 billion yuan ($1.15 billion), it involves the construction of two high-efficiency and clean coal-fired generators, along with relevant auxiliary facilities.
The project will strengthen Jingjiang ETDZ's coal energy industry base and further enhance Jiangsu province's power supply capacity, providing critical energy support for the province's high-quality development.
