The heavy cargo wharf of Luojiaqiao Port in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, which was established by China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Jingjiang Heavy Industries Co, officially began operating on Nov 30.
Since its establishment in 2015, Jingjiang Heavy Industry Co of CRCC has completed projects covering the construction of the inner harbor basin, steel structure production, and material transshipment.
Luojiaqiao Port's heavy cargo wharf is equipped with one 2,000-metric ton heavy cargo berth, which mainly engages in the loading, unloading, storage, and transportation of large components.
The wharf is also equipped with a 1,000-ton gantry crane with a rated lifting capacity of 1,000 tons. It is currently the largest tonnage gantry crane within the CRCC system.
