Construction was recently accelerated on the main structure of the wheat processing project invested by COFCO Grains and Cereals in Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The project is a key project invested by COFCO Corporation, the leader of the Chinese agricultural industry, in the East China region, and will see the construction of an intelligent wheat processing industrial base.
It will include four production lines, equipped with auxiliary facilities such as silos, finished product warehouses, and R&D centers.
These four production lines will be tailored to specific requirements, featuring high levels of automation. They will also incorporate intelligent three-dimensional storage solutions to minimize costs, reduce manual labor and enhance the overall utilization of warehouse space.
The project is currently in the civil engineering construction phase, with construction on the main structure underway, and is expected to be put into production in the first half of 2026.
It is expected to process 900,000 metric tons of wheat and produce 600,000 tons of flour per year when operating at full capacity.
