Since the beginning of this year, the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou has prioritized project construction. Subsequently, accelerated efforts have been made towards the advancement of several key projects.
The 2x1 million kilowatt unit expansion project, jointly developed by Jiangsu Guoxin Corp and China National Coal Group Corp, represents the first major energy collaboration between central and local enterprises, with a total investment of 8.39 billion yuan ($1.18 billion).
The foundations for the main plant and boilers have been completed, and 90 percent of the boiler steel frame is installed. The project is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2025, with an expected annual power generation capacity of 10 billion kilowatt hours.
The Bluesoul clean energy equipment project, with an investment of 1.5 billion yuan, focuses on the research and production of large-scale clean energy storage equipment, including marine LNG fuel tanks. Construction is nearing completion, and some production lines are anticipated to be operational by the end of this year.
The COFCO Jingjiang wheat processing project, with an investment of $150 million, is COFCO Group's most extensive and advanced wheat processing facility. It will feature a wheat processing line with an annual capacity of 900,000 metric tons, a 133,000-ton vertical warehouse, and an 11,000-ton intelligent finished products warehouse. Once operational in 2026, the plant is expected to process 30 million tons of wheat annually, producing approximately 630,000 tons of flour.
