Several new metal materials projects at the Qingshan (Jingjiang) Stainless Steel Deep Processing Industrial Park of the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou have recently accelerated their construction pace.
Among them, the Yongjin high-quality wide-band stainless steel sheet and strip project stands out with an investment of approximately 1.8 billion yuan ($253.41 million) and an annual production capacity of 1.2 million metric tons.
According to project leader Deng Bohao, the first phase of the project is currently undergoing final acceptance procedures, with trial production expected to begin in October.
Nearby, the Zhengli precision processing project for stainless steel flanges, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, has already entered the trial production phase.
In Workshop No 1, 80 percent of the six automated production lines have been installed, and three lines officially started operations at the end of August. The full production capacity is expected to be reached by November, as stated by Pan Jianping, general manager of Jingjiang Zhengli Industrial Corporation.
By the end of the year, five projects in the Qingshan (Jingjiang) Stainless Steel Deep Processing Industrial Park are expected to be completed and operational. Looking ahead, the industrial park plans to attract more projects aligned with its development goals, establishing itself as a major industrial base of new metal materials in China.
