Jingjiang city – a county-level city administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has set up a new system where all approval matters are now being handled in one place, making the process smoother and more efficient.
By providing extra services like advice on policies, help with paperwork and support for online submissions, the city is making it quicker and easier for businesses to get their projects approved.
Recently, the Jingjiang data bureau made headlines by issuing construction permits faster than ever before.
COFCO Trading (Jingjiang) Co Ltd, a company planning a big investment in warehousing and logistics facilities, received its permit within two hours of applying.

The project – costing 1.42 billion yuan ($195.29 million) and scheduled for competition in 2025 – aims to create a thriving industrial sector that revolves around grains and oils, taking advantage of Jingjiang's strategic port location.
"We got the company's application at 5 pm on July 1, almost closing time and we kicked off our extended service right away," said Chen Jie, deputy chief of the project construction section at the Jingjiang data bureau.
"With everything well-prepared, we managed to finish the paperwork in just 2 hours, which broke the record," Chen added.
The bureau's focus on efficiency and providing a first-class service is said to be helping businesses to grow and is also making Jingjiang a more attractive place for investment and development.
