Steel pipes and bars manufacturer Jingjiang Special Steel Co Ltd, based in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jingjiang city – administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – recently hosted a kickoff meeting for the drafting of national standards.

The meeting focused on two national standards: Test Procedures for Mechanical Connectors of Pipeline Conveyor Systems in the Oil and Gas Industry and Induction Heating Bends of Titanium Alloys in the Oil and Gas Industry.
The company will contribute to the formulation of the first national standard.
This aims to establish performance evaluation criteria for mechanical connectors in pipeline transportation systems – enhancing inspections and reducing pipeline accident rates in the petroleum industry.
Scheduled for completion in May, the standard is set for approval by the end of December this year.
