On April 1, a ship carrying 48,000 tons of coal docked at the company's Jingjiang wharf and three ship unloaders efficiently offloaded the cargo.

The logistics park in Jingjiang features two berths for 100,000-ton-class vessels, accommodating 50,000-ton-class ships around the clock and allowing for the loading of 100,000-ton-class vessels during tidal conditions.

Since opening in December last year, the port has harnessed its intelligent, efficient and eco-friendly functions to welcome 19 vessels carrying 900,000 tons to date.

The port's intelligent remote-control center enables real-time monitoring of vessel operations through a production visualization platform –optimizing operations and ensuring safety.

Wang Huan, manager of the dispatch operations department at Guangzhou Xingwang Logistics Co Ltd, highlighted the use of advanced technologies such as AI and the internet of things to enhance efficiency, making the port a key player in the logistics and shipping industry.

Moving forward, plans are to integrate blockchain technology for enhanced security and transparency in operations – as well as invest in renewable energy sources to reduce the environmental impact, aligning with sustainable practices.
