Of the four ships, three are 210,000-DWT, or dead-weight ton LNG dual-fuel powered bulk carriers, commissioned by Bermuda-based Himalaya Shipping and scheduled for delivery in the first half of this year.

Busy with orders from both domestic and international clients from the start of the year, New Times Shipbuilding has already delivered six ships – including four 210,000-DWT LNG dual-fuel powered bulk carriers since Jan 5.

These LNG dual-fuel powered bulk carriers – boasting green, environmentally friendly, energy-saving and high safety standards – represent the shipbuilder's first products of this kind.

Since 2019, a total of 67 LNG dual-fuel powered vessels – including 24 oil tankers, 20 containers and 23 bulk carriers – have been ordered from the company globally, with the shipbuilding output reaching 10.88 million DWT.

In addition to LNG dual-fuel powered vessels, the shipbuilder's high-end ships, such as ultra-large container vessels, have also dominated its international order book.

According to the shipbuilder, it will continue to improve its efficiency and production process, shorten the shipbuilding cycle and promote transformation and upgrades through innovation to achieve high-quality growth.

The company plans to deliver 31 vessels with a total of 3.92 million DWT in 2024 and its delivery schedule is fully booked through to 2027.
