With its production of high-end car metal stamping and automated welding assembly components, the manufacturer has accelerated projects related to "new energy, new technology and new materials" in the field of lightweight and high-strength car parts.
It has also transformed itself from supplying individual car parts to providing complete assemblies and modularized solutions.
Last year, the group secured orders for four models from Leap Motor – a domestic electric vehicle manufacturer – which led to a significant increase in output.
To meet demand, the company invested over 80 million yuan ($11.2 million) to add two new production lines. This expansion has boosted production capacity by 50 percent, exceeding the quantity of customer delivery requirements.
While focusing on enhancing its own range, Jiatong Automotive Technology has been optimizing its product structure – increasing R&D investment and strengthening independent core technologies.
Now, it says it has achieved the capability to develop, design and supply modularized components synchronously with car manufacturers.
Currently, it provides components for vehicles produced by major automakers such as SAIC-GM, FAW-Besturn, Daimler, Leap Motor and Great Wall Motors.
In addition to improving its autonomous innovation and product development capabilities, Jiatong Automotive Technology says it is actively advancing its intelligent and digital transformation.
The aim is for the company to transition from supplying individual car parts to complete assemblies.
