Jingjiang-based New Times Shipbuilding Co Ltd delivered 10 ships to foreign clients in the first quarter, totaling 1.58 million deadweight tons, which is a solid start for completing the annual target.

The company is based in Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone – a national development zone located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
This year, the enterprise is projected to deliver 27 ships with a total of 3.7 million dwt. Currently, the enterprise has sufficient orders in hand, with 79 vessels totaling 9.26 million dwt that are worth $6.43 billion, and the production have been scheduled until 2026.
New Times Shipbuilding Co Ltd is mainly engaged in building large and medium-sized bulk carriers, oil tankers, container ships and various chemical vessels. Its self-developed oleo-chemical vessels are known worldwide for "the largest number of ship types, the most complete series and the best cost performance".
In recent years, the company has taken the initiative to respond to the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, actively carried out the production and the R&D of safe, energy-saving and green ships.
In addition, the company has become the first local private shipyard in China to build large LNG dual-fuel ships, and the number of orders received for LNG dual-fuel ships ranks first in China.
