Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province released measures on Jan 13, designed to support businesses to expand their production and encourage employees to be on duty during the Spring Festival period.
Enterprises that generate an increase of more than 10 percent in sales during the first quarter of 2023 can get reward of up to 500,000 yuan ($ 73,950).
Major projects that continue from Jan 28 to Feb 5 will see each worker at construction sites subsidized by 100 yuan per day and the total amount will range up to 200,000 yuan for each project.
Enterprises that take part in international exhibitions during the Spring Festival period can get subsidies to cover the costs of stands and exhibits transportation.
Businesses that rent state-owned premises during the Spring Festival for employees from other cities can have them enjoy at least a half-month’s rent exemption.
The municipal government is also encouraging companies to give allowances to employees from other cities. As much as 10 million yuan consumption subsidies will also be distributed and public facilities – such as the museum and library – will be open to the public for free.
