The Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, a national development zone located in East China's Jiangsu province, is heading for another great decade.
That's according to remarks made at its 10th anniversary celebrations of becoming a State-level development zone, which took place on Feb 15, 2022 at a forum.

Founded in 1992 in the county-level city of Jingjiang - administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in the region - the zone was approved to be a provincial-level development zone a year later and was recognized as a State-level zone in 2012. The year 2022 marked the 30th anniversary of its establishment and the 10th anniversary of it becoming a State-level development zone.
Over the past decade, it has been one of Taizhou's only two State-level development zones and has served as a strong support for Jingjiang's economic development. That's with its industrial invoicing sales and foreign investment in actual use respectively accounting for 70 percent and 90 percent of the county-level city's total.
The zone has successfully been seeking industrial progress, expansion and innovation over the past decade, according to Zhang Changping, secretary of the Party working committee of the zone and Party secretary of Jingjiang.
In addition, it will strive to usher in a new golden decade - with the guidance of the new development philosophy - through a Chinese path to modernization, according to Zhang.
The forum last year was one of its efforts to seek further high-quality development.
Over 100 entrepreneurs and industry experts from all over the country attended the event to discuss industrial development and to share new ideas.
Deals for 29 projects were inked, covering a wide range of industries such as new metal materials, aviation manufacturing and healthy nutrition.
Of these, eight were major deals, each worth over 1 billion yuan ($157.19 million). They included a 10.5-billion-yuan energy base expansion project, a 1.51-billion-yuan Salvianic acid A sodium injection production base and a 1-billion-yuan stainless steel pipe processing project.

A foreign investment marketing drive also achieved good results during the event, including a $100 million nutrients manufacturing project and a $150 million wheat processing plant. These results are widely said to reveal an ambitious, vigorous and sprawling Jingjiang.
