Rows of dragon fruit are thriving inside the Junjie Orchard's dragon fruit cultivation base in Jiangyan district, each weighing around 750 grams.

From mid-to-late July each year, dragon fruit begins to ripen and enter the market, with the supply period extending to March of the following year. Thanks to scientific management, the orchard has achieved a bumper harvest this year, with an average yield of about 1,500 kilograms per mu (about 0.067 hectares).

The orchard can ensure a daily supply of about 400 kg of fresh dragon fruit for the market. With excellent variety and outstanding freshness, the fruit has won widespread popularity among consumers locally and in surrounding areas.

Each year, the base generates more than 400,000 yuan ($56,796.19) in additional income and land transfer fees for local village collectives. It also employs over 10 local residents, enabling them to work close to home and earn an additional 20,000 yuan per person per year.
