As temperatures drop significantly, the Jiejiegao Butterfly Orchids Cultivation Base in Jiangyan district has been using advanced technology to ensure the growth of flowers amid the severe cold.
Each greenhouse in the base is equipped with an agricultural digital system, enabling real-time monitoring and adjustment of temperature, humidity, illumination, and wind speed. Growers can check and operate the system with just a mobile phone. Throughout the year, the temperature inside the greenhouses is maintained at a range of 18 to 28 degrees Celsius, which is optimal for growing flowers.
As the year comes to an end, the peak season for flower sales is arriving. The base has already prepared in advance with 300,000 butterfly orchids.
