Jiangyan district has approved a total of four provincial-level potential unicorn enterprises, the most in Taizhou, while the total number of high-tech enterprises in the district has exceeded 380, demonstrating outstanding achievements in the development of new quality productive forces.
Keenon Robotics is a shining example. Since its establishment in Jiangyan in 2023, the company has invested 800 million yuan ($113.15 million) to build a complete robot industry ecosystem, with products covering cleaning, catering, medical and health care, industrial distribution, and more. Its commercial catering service robots have maintained the top domestic market share.
Another example is Taida Textile. In its intelligent spinning workshop, thousands of spinning machines operate at high speed under the command of a central control system. This 1-billion-yuan smart factory has reduced production costs by 10 percent, increased energy efficiency by 10 percent, and improved production efficiency by 40 percent.
In the future, Jiangyan aims to continue promoting the formation of industrial clusters in advantageous sectors like robotics while adhering to green and low-carbon development principles, ensuring both acceleration and quality in the development of new quality productive forces.
