This year, Jiangyan district of Taizhou has been concentrating on developing new quality productive forces, promoting the deep integration of innovation, industrial, capital, and talent chains. These efforts aim to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive applications.

The district has implemented a series of initiatives, including inviting experts to provide guidance to local enterprises, organizing salons, and appointing 32 innovation mentors.
In addition, Jiangyan has facilitated industry-academia-research cooperation by organizing visits to prestigious universities such as Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Southeast University. The district has hosted over 20 industry-academia-research matchmaking events, established 10 new school-enterprise alliances, and signed 87 high-quality cooperation agreements.
Furthermore, Jiangyan has fully established the "1+4+N" offshore innovation network system. This includes two high-quality regional offshore innovation centers and six enterprise offshore innovation centers, the highest number recognized in Taizhou.
To attract and gather top-tier talent, Jiangyan allows high-level projects to deduct up to 500 square meters of space from their annual rent payment. The district is committed to creating a closed-loop innovation ecosystem encompassing "R&D - Incubation - Acceleration - Industrialization", integrating demand and supply chains to effectively address the shortage of talent and innovation resources, and further promoting local industrial upgrading and development.
These efforts have proven effective. Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology released the proposed list of Science and Technology Deputy Directors for 2024, with Jiangyan district having 41 nominees, nearly half of Taizhou's total and the highest number in the city for the second consecutive year.
