Jiangyan district, Taizhou has implemented various measures to boost agricultural production, enhance agricultural efficiency, and increase farmers' incomes in order to advance rural vitalization.

In 2024, the district plans to invest 1.19 billion yuan ($168.24 million) to increase farmers' incomes through the development of various agricultural projects. It currently boasts 48 municipal-level, nine provincial-level, and one national-level leading agricultural enterprises.
The district is focusing on the high-quality development of family farms, with 1,508 farms currently registered in the management system. In the first half of the year, seven leading family farms achieved a total operating income of 5.26 million yuan, a 12.9-percent year-on-year increase. Additionally, Jiangyan district continues to implement modern agricultural subsidy policies, supporting 3,014 projects with subsidies totaling 70.22 million yuan.
During the May Day holiday, rural tourist attractions in the district welcomed over 400,000 visitors, generating over 110 million yuan in tourism revenue.
These efforts paid off. In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Jiangyan district reached 16,630 yuan, increasing 6.9 percent year-on-year, which is 0.4 percentage points higher than the provincial average.
