From Aug 3-10, the "Silk Road Courier" Cao Zhengchun & Tangbao Tueshlie Painting Exhibition was held at the Abylkhan Kasteyev State Museum of Arts in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition featured 42 Chinese traditional paintings created by Cao Zhengchun, an artist from Jiangyan district, Taizhou and the founder of Silk Road Painting School, as well as 10 works by Tangbao Tueshlie from the Kazak ethnic group.

The Silk Road Painting School aims to depict the landscapes and customs along the Silk Road through various art forms, such as Chinese traditional painting, oil painting, and watercolor. Cao's artworks capture the beauty of the landscapes and cultures along the Silk Road, highlighting the uplifting spirit of the nomadic tribes.

Tangbao, growing up on the grasslands, draws inspiration from the rich traditional arts of the region. His vibrant works vividly portray the beautiful landscapes, lively horses, and warm and welcoming people of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

The exhibition serves as a bridge between the Chinese and Kazak cultures, promoting cooperation and communication between the two countries and contributing to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
