The Digitalization for a Strong Chinese Education Forum was recently held by the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference at East China Normal University, located in Shanghai.
Representatives from the Jiangyan District Experimental Primary School, located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, attended the conference.
Vice Principal Shen Yong presented the school's innovative Liren Classroom model – literally, developmental characteristics classroom model.
The approach emphasizes the individual characteristics of pupils and shifts the classroom focus from being teacher-centered to student-centered.
By leveraging digital technology, Shen said the model enhances the learning process through four stages – pre-study questioning and problem identification, task-driven learning, independent inquiries, and presentation and exchanges for student enhancement.
The structure is said to significantly improve the quality of classroom teaching and to foster the autonomous learning abilities of students.
The school's successful integration of digital transformation to drive educational and teaching reform forwards received high praise from experts at the conference.
