The Shanghai-Jiangyan Chamber of Commerce convened its third member meeting in East China's Shanghai recently and key investment agreements were finalized at the event.

Among those in attendance was Qian Jun, head of the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

Since its establishment in 2016, the Shanghai-Jiangyan Chamber of Commerce has effectively rallied and guided numerous Jiangyan merchants in Shanghai to pool their resources for innovative development.

This collaborative effort has led to the signing of 12 projects in Jiangyan, with a total investment exceeding 1 billion yuan ($138.3 million). As a result, the chamber has been honored as an "Advanced Collective" and a national "Excellent Chamber of Commerce".

Qian emphasized the importance for the Shanghai-Jiangyan Chamber of Commerce to fully leverage its role in fostering deep integration between Jiangyan and Shanghai, facilitating the district's progress towards premium-quality development in the modern era.

Plans are for the district to implement various initiatives to cultivate exceptional talent, improve communications with the chamber and provide solid support to both the chamber and Jiangyan's merchants.
