Participants from the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, met with great success on the first day of the ongoing 134th China Import and Export Fair.
The event, also known as the Canton Fair, is being held in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, from Oct 15 to Nov 4.
The Jiangyan participants received over 400 visits from international buyers on the first day, resulting in a record-breaking transaction value of $3.558 million.
Jiangsu Bondflex Sumeng New Material Co Ltd, a manufacturer based in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, attracted many buyers for its products.

Its representatives held talks with more than 30 companies and reached supply agreements with seven. What's more, they signed a $2.6 million contract on-site with European customers.
Another Jiangyan Economic Development Zone company, Jiangsu Homer Hardware Manufacturing Co Ltd, which specializes in wooden structural connectors, also had a great day. Its representatives signed three orders with European clients worth $410,000.

A wide range of 20 companies from Jiangyan district are participating in the Canton Fair, representing sectors including hardware, tools, electronics, clothing and medical health products.
