The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – has achieved major improvements in the lives of its residents.

This year, the zone has implemented 39 projects aimed at higher living standards, with a total investment of nearly 20 million yuan ($2.73 million) – and created 22 demonstration towns and villages with a total investment topping 40 million yuan.
So far this year, the zone has focused on improving rivers and lakes, enhancing transportation and creating clean communities.
One outstanding accomplishment is the accreditation of Sanshui Street as a provincial ecological livable and beautiful demonstration street.
Moreover, the agricultural sector in the zone has seen significant growth, with the shiitake mushroom industry gaining recognition and winning awards at national and provincial expos.
The zone has also established five demonstration farms to promote advanced agricultural practices and drive sustainable economic growth.
What's more, the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone is actively promoting the rule of law, with its Xiaoyang Community aiming to become a national demonstration community.
The zone has also implemented an online platform for streamlined communications between the local government and residents, receiving high praise at the provincial level as a smart governance model.
Moving forwards, plans are for the zone to continue to prioritize economic and social development, promote innovation, expand sustainable agriculture and foster a harmonious living environment for its residents.
